Acknowledgments
Jill and I are so thankful to the Lord Jesus for those who have shown us the true gospel life in Christ. We believe that true discipleship, and true knowledge of God, is found through a life-practice dedicated to sharing the gospel, not on merely learning more things about God. Jesus said, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men,” not follow me and I will make you church attenders.
We are thankful to Christ for those in the CPM movement today, from whom we have borrowed significant material for our lessons, especially Ying Kai, Stephen Smith, and Jeff Sundell. Although much of the material is original, we have also used many stories and teachings from current Christ-servants, Ray Comfort and Ron Hutchcraft within our lessons. See their links in our Lessons and Resources pages. Dave’s early Christian life was founded on many great church teachers but especially on the teachings of Watchman Nee, Charles Spurgeon, and Andrew Murray.
At current rates, somewhere in the world, a Christian dies every six minutes. Therefore, most of all, we thank the Lord Jesus for those, past and present, who and have suffered and bled for the testimony of Jesus on the earth. Who worshiped Christ not merely with singing and learning, but with lost freedom, lost families, lost lives. THEY ARE THE TRUE TESTIMONY OF JESUS. The Lord Jesus is seeking marines, not boy scouts for his testimony and shed blood speaks much louder than our goody-goody service works. God Almighty, please make us like them because they are like you Lord Jesus!
